| | Subject: | Help! My soy milk turns to pudding overnight! | |
Date: | July 30, 2008 at 11:25 pm PST |
I recently bought a new Soyapower and love it! The milk is so much smoother than with our previous Soyajoy. But on the second day it has the consistency of pudding! I follow all the steps carefully and never waiver (why fix what isn't broke, right?). I soak 1/2C. beans for 10-12 hours, process them in the machine, pour the hot milk through a fine mesh coffee filter to remove all sediment, then let it cool a bit before adding a little bit of sugar, salt, and sometimes vanilla. I then pour each batch into separate containers and refrigerate them. That first day the milk is wonderful. But by the morning of the second day it's so thick it comes out in thick globs. It tastes great; just like pudding. For the life of me I can't figure out what's going wrong and I'm getting tired of throwing the previous day's batch away each morning. Any ideas?
