Sigh.. What I can tell you is we dropped the typical American Diet last Aug because of the wife's heart and her cholesterol levels which would not come down with any meds. Soy plays a big part in our meals. Tonight it is going to be Cajun style Black Beans and Rice with Blackened Tofu for a wet miserable night's warm meal. Since Aug while eating soy: I have lost 95 pounds. The wife has lost 15 but she is less active because of heart restrictions and I know I am frustrating to her because mine simply dropped off without trying but she forgets I am more active, I am larger and I have more to lose than she did. Did soy hurt this? 95 pounds? All of which I lost by July of this year so I did it in 11 months. I don't think it did a darn thing either way except maybe make my IBS/Crohns a lot better because when I eat soy, I don't have flares. And you know.. I wasn't dieting. I simply changed my eating habits and started doing healthier things for me mainly because I couldn't ask her to do this and not do it myself. If I want to know what the bad old days are like all I have to do is eat a slice of pizza with meat. I have an immediate flare of my personal disease.
