I just got a soy milk maker about a week ago and so far I've made about 4 batches. So far every batch I have made has been unappealing. I've tried every recommendation I've read for improving the flavor. I soaked the beans for exactly 9 hours, I dehulled every single bean, I bought the brown rice syrup and added the amount recommended by several recipes. I added salt and cleaned the machine rigorously between uses. All of these batches have tasted horrible and really beany and bland all at the same time. I'm considering returning the machine but I really don't want to pay 7 dollars a gallon for commercial soymilk again. I am a poor college student who loves soymilk. I bought soybeans at a co-op by my house and I have been using the soyajoy soymilk machine. Also, the beans tastes bad raw and I'm not sure if they are supposed to or not. If anyone has any suggestions or advice pleeease let me know. Thanks!
