You don't need soy products to get enough protein. Protein requirements are actually quite a bit less than most people think, I'm not sure of the grams but it's somewhere around 50-60 grams a day which isn't that much. All beans and grains contain proteins which are complementary if eaten in the same day, (soy has complete protein by itself) so if you eat a varied plant-based diet with enough calories you are getting enough protein. It's actually really hard to not get enough protein on a diet that focuses on mostly unprocessed plant foods.
