I really appreciate this information. My first soy milk maker was a Soya Joy - and I liked it. Although, I remember having to double-batch a lot to get some thickness and having to do a lot of filtering.

It died and for 3 years I made soy milk on my stove. I finally found the funds to purchase another & bought the SoyQuick. It seemed to produce much better soy milk, thicker with less solids on a single batch. I didn't know if it was just 3 years difference in technology, or my experience, or what. Plus, I was very impressed with the customer service.

PS: The SoyaJoy probably died because of the lack of seals around some critical parts.

PSs: I'm still working on the tofu. I understand it takes some experience. So far I've not gotten anything very firm, but it makes for great tofu-mayo!
