I would use more beans and nuts, they are more filling. Beans and rice, or bean burritoes, make a filling meal, especially if you have veggies and fruits on the sides. For breads, sprouted grain breads (like the Ezekiel breads) are denser than regular breads, and actually less processed. Also, you could try thickening your soups with barley, and making heartier stews and chilis. I am divorced, but when I was cooking vegetarian food for my ex-husband, I just made a lot more food. Back then, I would cook a full pound of whole wheat spaghetti for us and my daughter, and it would pretty much all be gone at the end of the meal. Now I cook half a pound for myself and my two children, we all eat as much as we want (and this is one of the meals the kids eat very well), and I still have leftovers for lunch the next day!
