It could even be other ingredients that were in the soy milk. If you read the label of the plain Silk soy milk, there are probably a lot of things in it besides soybeans and water. If you have an Asian market in your area, I suggest you try buying a truly "plain" soy milk (ingredients: soy beans and water), and try that. Alternatively, some health food and similar stores sell soy milk powder (it is reconstituted with water in a blender). If either of these go well, then you could consider investing in a soy milk machine.
