I have been reading for several years, about soy, soy milk, and the machines. I would not have to ask the same basic questions that have been answered many times.

But one I have not even heard of, is that my first batch, made on a *very* well-cleaned new Soyapower plus, smelled like it had already been through someone. It smelled like the gas that someone might get *after* eating soy milk.

It tasted fine, I didn't get sick, the Laura beans seemed fine. i have heard of both sides: some cultured foods, like cheese and newly opened wine, can smell and still be very good, and on the other hand, there is a good reason why food smells rotten!

Please advise.
