Yes, I believe that support after the sale is an important consideration, and I like the manual, so much better, too.

Regarding the machines, they are not identical.
The design may look very similar. The SoyQuick manufacturer employs a system of quality control tracking using unique serial numbers. SoyQuick has implemented design changes, and a number of other internal improvements that enhance the quality and the life expectancy of SoyQuick machines.

Personally, I prefer the streamlined design, and low-base stability of the SoyQuick, as opposed to the SoyaPower, and in my opinion, the SoyaJoy/SoyaPower machine is not really an improvement. I don't like the the look of the plastic cover. And if there's one thing this planet doesn't need, it's MORE PLASTIC! Making traditional plastic requires scarce resources and a lot of energy--and then you can't get rid it!!

It also seems to me that the plastic cover and locking mechanism might be more vulnerable to breakage. Just an observation.
