If we were truly carnivores we would have some real problems with public health, I think you meant to say omnivores. Meat causes heart disease and a range of other health problems in humans. So if people ate solely meat, they wouldn't be around very long. I'm a vegetarian, eat soy and I am well nourished. I've never had any deficiencies and haven't taken vitamins to supplement my vegetarian diet that I have been on for 20 years. I was weaned on soy milk because I was allergic to milk as a child. Since then, I've led a healthy life.
