The only oil I ever use is olive oil, because it is monounsaturated, and considered heart healthy. That being said, any oil you choose should be used sparingly. Soybean oil, in and of itself, does not contain trans fats. Only hydrogenated oils, no matter the origin, contain trans fatty acids. Unfortunately, soybean oil is often "lightly" hydrogenated. Percentages do not make any difference to me, and as far as I am concerned, any hydrogenation is is very unhealthy.
