There is nothing extreme about veganism. It's absolutely NOT almost impossible to eat in restaurants. I eat in restaurants several times a week.

It's also not true that dairy and egg products don't kill animals. They are responsible for millions of animal deaths every year. Taking eggs from a chicken does not kill THAT chicken, but it does kill all the chickens who had the misfortune to be born roosters at a place that only wants hens. Milking a cow does not kill her, but it shortens her life and causes her great distress when she has to be repeatedly impregnated to keep up the milk supply and then have her calf taken away from her and sent to the veal crates or to the slaughterhouse if it's a male.
