i've been a vegetarian for 2 and a half months now. i have stopped wearing leather and fur and i plan on continuing this for the rest of my life. i love animals and have decided what a hypocrit i've been my whole life, telling people how much i love animals, yet eating meat. but there is one problem left--i am not a vegan. for someone who used to eat meat at every meal and truly love it, it has been a difficult transition, but even worse, i know i should be a vegan if i really want to do the animal rights thing the right way. at this point though, i just cannot imagine that. i cannot imagine how difficult eating out would be, and how ostracized i would be from my family. everything seems to have dairy products or eggs in it! and i love cheese and i love eggs and they are what is getting me through this. i have been buying free-range eggs and organic cow-safe milk, but is this not enough? if i really love animals, must i be a vegan?
