When I was living in Dallas Texas I had an "unsettling experience" with the local Whole Foods market. In thier "vegetarian" section (where they have all the soymeat products), I found something disgusting. They also keep thier eggs in this section. One day I was looking over the fake lunchmeat to see if there was one that my boyfriend would like. There were only a few of each item as it was a day or 2 before they would be getting more products shipped in. I happened to notice some broken egg shells and yolk all over one of the shelves. This egg was everywhere in the section, in all kinds of nooks and crannies and some of the vegetarian items(that you don't cook by the way, things like tortillas and lunch "meat"). I told one of the employees about the problem and she said "ok" and resumed doing what she was doing. I assumed that the problem would be taken care of. I went back a week later to see if they had cleaned it up. Not only had they not cleaned it up, they restocked on top of it! and this was an obvious mess. My boyfriend's sister wrote a letter to the manager of the store and to the company headquarters. since then the store has cleaned up thier act a lot, not to mention the vegetarian section. I suggest writing a letter and talking to the manager. Good luck and happy vegging!
