At my last job, I had a guy who kept telling me about the lovely meat he had the night before. He also liked to give me recipes, some oral and some by email, for meat dishes. I ended up telling him that I viewed it as harassment, since he had not taken seriously any of my earlier requests to stop. His comment? "Well, you don't have to hit me over the head with a sledgehammer." Oh, yeah? My experience with meat-eaters who bug me suggests that they are lacking in understanding and compassion. Maybe it does take a sledgehammer!
