This book made me feel like the vegan diet may be a lost cause. I feel the diet that the book highlighted is a quasi-vegan diet. This would make people way more accepting of me and my diet. They would like the fact that I eat animals on occassion (fish). If veganism has never been practiced historically by an entire culture then it is very likely that history will repeat itself. It will not be practiced by an entire culture in the future. Is it still worth it to try to be vegan just for the environment? Does saving all the animals make that much sense...if it goes against our nature?
