You say they press it as a friendly joke, so it seems there's some room here for things to get better. At least a lot better than if they were being hostile jerks.

In some companies, that kind of joking around is how people relate to each other. NOT teasing you would be a bad sign. Ragging you about your veganism might be their way of including you in the social process. You're new there, so they don't have a whole history of things about you to talk and joke about. That aspect of it should improve with time as they learn to give you a hard time about what a terrible golfer you are or something. LOL!

Start ragging on them about Mad Cow, in the same friendly spirit in which they tease you about veganism. Any time anyone messes up or forgets something, tease them about having holes in their brain from eating meat. If they can't find a stapler, you say with mock seriousness "Oh, dear, that's a bad sign" and then wink or smile or just give a knowing look as you walk away.

OR you could say straight out, "Hey the vegan thing is getting old. Can we ridicule my golf game for a while instead?"

The main thing is to let them know you have a sense of humor and you aren't some uptight guy who's going to start preaching at them. I find that once people know I'm not going to go all PETA on their asses, they relax a little and then even want to talk honestly and openmindedly about veganism.
