I agree totally that we need both more greens and more living food in our diet as a society. Beacuse this is not a raw food board and there is one I'm going to try not promote the live-food diet much here out of respect by I am one myself. I agree I think the more we eat our food in it's virgin state, from nature, the healthier we will be. I created three general rules that I got from reading a bunch of people- they are just my way of simplifying the rules I have learned and there are more rules for perfection than these but here are huge ones

1. the lower you eat on the food chain the healtheir you will be, and vice versa
2. the less processed your food is the healthier you will be
3. the simpler your meals, in terms of food combining, the healtheir you will be

but remember, two steps forward, one step back, on and on, is still progress, and it may be necessary to go this way to avoid detox crises and transition. by going backward a little bit when necessary you can apply the 'brakes' to your cleansing, so that you can proceed safely. two steps forward one step back is still progress. For me I'm losing the taste for different things that I used to eat a lot of- garlic and onions, olive oil, coconuts and avacados and nuts especially, and all fats actually pretty much. I have been reading doug graham but arnold ehret says the same thing- no animal in nature eats fat- or maybe a few do.. maybe the squirrel(?) and other creatures that eat nuts. but definitely I would say that most don't, if they are not carnovorian

I maintain though that teachings from people ar enecessary to help you see, but until you connect in your own body and bowels, on an intimate personal level with food and fasting and such, it is still all "out there". There has to be a connection and a realization that you are as you eat, but for me that has definitely been happening
