I think you would be wise to minimise the impact however you can. Perhaps by not spending time with your mother when the other child is there -

I suspect it won't be as bad for your child, because YOU'RE her mother, and YOU will have the most lasting impact. All you can do is be as loving as you can, mama - you're the most important person in your child's life, not her. I think you're being very mature in how you handle it, that must have been painful.
