Wow! I didn't have to scroll down very far to read my last post...from 2006! My how time flies! This board used to fly! Does its slow-mo have to do with there being little or no relational strife in the world? :) Sure hope that's the case!

Well, my little punkin' is now 13 months old! Unbelievable how the time goes, truly in a blink of an eye. I see a newborn now and wonder if she was ever that little. Was it my imagination? An earlier reponder to my last post talks of his 22 year old daughter... I look at my daughter now and visualize her as a young lady and hope that I do a superb job of loving her because before I know it, she'll be 22 and on her own. There are no words to fully express what it means when people say that children will change your life. It is the greatest thing we could ever be gifted with. :) I'm in love with being a Mommy! Single motherhood is not without its challenges, for sure, but I wouldn't change it for the world!

How is everyone here?

Besides being a Mama, I'm without a relationship, but don't know if/how I could make time. I was fortunate enough to take a year off to stay with her (I'd inadvertently created a nestegg to support such an endeavor) and I'm so glad that I did, but now I'm back to the workforce and the transition is difficult. During the week I only see her 1-2 hours a day because of commuting and her growing baby body makes her want to go to bed earlier than I'd prefer. So when the weekends come, its all about spending time with baby and making sure she knows that I'm still ever-present; I have to be two people at once...and quite frankly, Mama is tired! :) How could I make time for dating? And really...it would take a true SUPERMAN to win our hearts...cuz it's not just my heart to be won, there are two of us and I won't settle for anything less than spectacular! Perhaps a baby is what I needed to learn how not to settle. :) We deserve nothing less than the absolute best. I can't steer her wrong.

Anyways...I didn't know which direction my fingers would take the keyboard, so there you have a little rambling update on the happenings of the once present, mostly vacant 'Lovey'. :)

I hope you are all blessed and well!
Lovey
