BF is free to go without me but I doubt he'll want to ... and he won't want to say so, either.

Thing is, if we are free (ie no longer pet sitting and no (new) job requirements), I'd like to go ... I seriously doubt though, that will be the case so I'll take your advice.

If it turns out we can make it, last minute, we'll find a place to stay (which would be preferred, really) and that way, won't have messed up any planning for lodging.
