As a person who is VERY over committed (a working, studying, single mama), I cannot always give the time to my loved ones that I would like. I am definitely INTO them. I am just busy, and stressed out, and yes, my kids take priority over anything else in what little spare time I do have.

Sadly, people with different priorities or more time on their hands (eg non-parents etc) sometimes take my lack of time to devote to them really personally. This makes me feel even more pressured. Those who understand that I can't give them lots of time and stick around anyway are richly rewarded: what I lack in quantity I more than make up for in quality. I am loyal, caring and a good friend. I am also busy.

That book - he's not that into you - has a lot to answer for, in my opinion. He may be VERY into you, but busy. Maybe there is a win-win way to deal with this? For example - he says he is busy, maybe instead of taking that personally or disregarding your needs, you could figure out a compromise? Like, maybe you two could agree to have less time, but really make the most of that time? This is what I like to do with my dear ones.

Thing is, if he is already stressed and you put MORE pressure on him, he may feel misunderstood and harassed and you may scare him off.

I think maybe you need to cut him a little slack. He sounds very stressed out to me. But also recognise your need for lovin' and make sure that is addressed too. this CAN be win-win, and he may be REALLY into you!
