I'm on the other side of the fence. My husband is the good guy while I try to keep my 14 and 12 yo daughters in line. I'm not authoritarian. Your kids won't respect you if you don't respect yourself.
I would give anything to have a husband or significant other that believed in the respecting the parents.
I have given up and have two spoiled brats. I cannot do 3 against 1. You have a gem of a boyfriend and do not realize it
