You and your son need stability more than you need the continual guessing game of how he will be.

He frightens you.

He blames you.

He condemns you.

He is rude to you.

He scares your son.

Leave him alone.

Tell his parents that you would be happy for them to see their grandson, but that you can't spend time with them with their son any longer unless he gets some real help through counseling.

Don't accept his offers of "help" any longer. It is traumatizing for your son.

There are reasons that you separated... and it looks like the reasons are continuing.

I think you should take what you wrote above and call an attorney. I am sorry to say it, but there is no communication or safety aroung the man the way he is acting.

You and your son need distance... and a safe place to talk this all through.. with a good counselor... would be a good investment.

You put up with disrespect and fear in order to try to get along with him.

You can't have any kind of stable relationship where there is disrespect and fear.

Protect your son from that kind of environment, and stay away from him. Talk to an attorney about how to protect both of you from his rageaholism.

Read about the power of words (and the effect they could be having on your son)here: http://www.dnaofrelationships.com/articles/truth/poweroftongue.html

and take a look at the marriage/relationship test below (and other material on that site)

Hugs to you,

Beseder
