If so, is it really that much cheaper..i mean do people have things like mustard seeds, nutmeg, mace, etc. at their house or does it require purchasing? I'm just curious because when i make stuff here in college, I have to buy most of the ingredients and it turns out about as expensive, or more especially to cook for just one person.

The recipes calling for tofu..tofu is expensive! so is soymilk, etc. Man, is being vegan really that much more expensive...or is it more time consuming? hmm..

Sorry if these are silly questions. Just things I've been wondering about since I actually started making stuff..
