I think any type of flour would work
as a sub for the chickpea flour,
since it's only 1/4 cup. If it were
more than that, it might not sub as well.

If you have some dried bean flakes
(like dry hummus mix or dried refried
bean flakes) grind finely and use in
place of chickpea flour.

Another good sub would be millet flour
(or grind dry millet into flour), or
amaranth or quinoa flour (same process).
