Those are amazing ideas that I'm going to use at home with the hubby, I know he misses that stuff.
For the in-laws I kind of wanted to stay away from their standbys. I don't want them to be thinking "this is much better with dead ___ than with faux ___." They are still of the mind set that veggies are a side dish so I really wanted to show them how hearty and savory and filling they can be instead of having them compare the 'fake' version to the real.
Seriously, my MIL (bless her) serves the same three overcooked veggie side dishes every time we come over and cooks fish as a main because she thinks its vegetarian. I want to show them how delicious and fun eating this way can be!
