Bean Burgers

1 can (about 15 oz) any type beans, drained and mashed
Salt, pepper, onion granules, garlic granules, to taste
Other seasonings of your choice
Breadcrumbs

Mix mashed beans with seasonings.
Add just enough breadcrumbs to obtain a mixture that can be
formed into patties that will stay together (not too wet or too dry).
Form into medium-thick patties.
Cook patties in a sprayed or greased frying pan,
turning and cooking until heated through and browned to your liking.

Serve on bread or buns, with toppings of your choice.


NOTE:
Makes approximately 4 patties.
You can cook some, and freeze the rest.
Reheat frozen patties gently in a little oil in a frying p
an, until done.


VARIATION:
Substitute 1/3 cup cooked rice or cooked wheat berries for 1/2 cup of the beans
(pre-mashed measurement).
