Brownies 1 & 1/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 cup cocoa 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup natural sugar 1/2 cup margarine, softened* 1 egg substitute (optional) 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) Pre-heat oven to 350 F . Spray a 9" x 9" x 2" pan. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, put margarine, sugar, egg sub and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir in the flour mixture and the chips until well blended. Spread mixture evenly in the pan. Bake 25 - 30 minutes, or until top springs back when gently pressed. Cool slightly. While still warm, cut into squares. *NOTE: You can substitute prune puree for half of the margarine.
