Subject:         bean sausages

Bean Sausages

1 & 1/2 cups of cooked beans
1/4 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1/2 tsp onion granules or powder
1/4 tsp garlic granules or powder
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
1/8 tsp cayenne (optional)
Breadcrumbs (as needed)

Drain beans. Mash well.
Mix mashed beans with seasonings.
Add just enough breadcrumbs so the mixture
can be formed into sausages or patties that
will stay together (not too wet or too dry).
Form mixture into sausages or patties.
Cook in a little oil in a frying pan,
turning and cooking until heated through and browned to your liking.
(Can also be baked.)
Serve as desired.
