Some ideas that come to mind:

Reheating leftovers.

Heating canned foods.

Making pasta.

Boiling potatoes for mashed potatoes (or other).

Making soup from canned veggies (include liquids).

Making soup from fresh veggies.

Simmering gluten (seitan) on low heat.

Making rice.

Using as a baking casserole.

Making cooked puddings.

Boiling water.
