Get a large plastic strainer and a bowl that it just fits into, but does not touch bottom of bowl.

Soak mung beans, broccoli seeds, etc, overnight in water to cover + 4" more.

Next day, drain soaked items, and spread out in the strainer which is resting on/in the bowl.

Cover with paper towel or other light, porous material, and leave alone out of direct sunlight for several hours.

Sprinkle water over the seeds, and drain the water out of the bowl after it collects there. Then return the contraption to its resting place.

Do this at least 3 times daily for several days, until the sprouts have formed, but no longer than 3 or 4 days, being careful they do not get smelly or moldy.

Drain them very well, then dry them on paper towels.

Store in a container or bag in the fridge, and use within a few days.
