Subject:	egg sub for muffins

i have a muffin recipie that calls for four eggs that seems like alot to me would it be possible to sub it with apple sauce maybe? thanks for you help!

the following is the recipie:

2 1/2 c grated carrot
1 1/2c walnut pieces
1 c diced pineapple
2 c flour
2tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c veg oil
4 eggs
