I have a recipe for a Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing. I need a replacement for the butter & eggs. I follow the McDougall plan. Also, how can I lower the amount of sugar in this recipe? Mom's Chocolate Cake Cake: 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 cup boiling water 2 eggs 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup hot coffee Frosting: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temp. 2 Tablespoons milk 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla
