Subject:         Non soy meals

I have been vegetarian for years but just recently realized that I have become allergic to beans including, of course, soy beans that are a mainstay for much vegetarian cooking. What are some good ways to make sure I obtain enough protein in my cooking? How much protein does a 125 lb active 60yr woman need? Thank you for your assistance.
