Bean Burgers 3/4 cup of cooked beans, drained and mashed -- (drained before measuring) 1/4 tsp salt Dash pepper 1/2 tsp onion granules or powder 1/4 tsp garlic granules or powder 1/8 tsp paprika Gluten-free breadcrumbs, cornflake crumbs, or crushed crispy rice cereal Oil (for frying) Mix mashed beans with seasonings. Add just enough crumbs so the mixture can be formed into patties that will stay together (not too wet or too dry). Form mixture into patties. Fry in a little oil (or pan spray) until browned to your liking. Serve as desired. --- Bean Sausages Follow above recipe, adding 1/2 tsp sage and 1/2 tsp thyme. Form mixture into sausages. Fry in a little oil (or pan spray) until browned to your liking. Serve as desired.
