Subject:         Tempeh it forward

Tempeh Bacon

Cut 1/2 package of Tempeh into thin slices.
Fry in a small amount of oil until crispy.

Spinkle Tempeh on both sides with:
Soy sauce
Brown sugar
Liquid Smoke (opt)

Let it soak in a minute, then sprinkle both sides
with:
Nutritional yeast

Serve on bread or roll with lettuce, tomato, and
your favorite mayo.

Lemon Broil Tempeh

1 & 3/4 cups water
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 Tbs garlic powder
2 Tbs onion powder
2 packages tempeh

Mix all ingredients except tempeh.
Marinate tempeh in mixture 24 - 48 hours, turning
several times.
Put tempeh on baking sheet, and coat lightly with
the marinade.
Broil about 15 - 20 minutes at 425 F, turning once
or twice,
until cooked to desired crispness.
Or cook on grill, turning and basting as needed.
