The founders of the 30BAD site have had friends die of anorexia, so they are (understandably or at least it is psychologically explainable) worried about people not eating enough calories when adopting a LFRV diet. Their approach is not the same as 80/10/10 in that respect (they are also either against hygienic fasting or ambivalent about it).

I am a 130 pound male, age 32, very lean muscle and a bit of tummy fat. I was 140 lbs. when I adopted a hygienic lifestyle a few months ago. I have lost 10 lbs. and all of it has been fat (except for a small amount of weight loss that could be attributed to water loss from eliminating salt); I have not lost any muscle despite averaging 5% of my calories from protein. If I were to follow the 30BAD guidelines I would be eating way too much. I exercise vigorously (run) each morning until I am winded, listening to my body to tell me when to stop. I work part-time and I am on my feet, but it is light work. Other than that, the only exercise I get involves walking to the store for groceries every other day, which takes 20 minutes each way (not sure of the distance, maybe 3 miles round trip). So you can see that my activity level is not extremely high. I do not count calories but eat ad libitum, but if I stop to estimate based on the food I have bought, my intake can vary from 2000 calories (sedentary day) to 2700 calories (very active day).

If I forced myself to eat 3000 calories minimum per day, I would have maintained or gained weight over the last few months, I have no doubt. Fullness is a signal from your body to stop eating. Pay attention to it! Good luck.
