Hi Jem, You got it misunderstood! You are right in saying multiply by 10 your weight (or weight you want to be) but you're also meant to add another 200 kcal plus any other kcal that you may lose that day through activities. So you may find, depending on your day, that you could easily get away with 1800kcal a day on average! 2500kcal would be too much, so yes, you would put on weight, I don't care what they advocate there.
