The problem is when we eat nothing but denatured protein.. You need both raw and cooked forms of protein.. The ideal diet is fruit, veggies (both raw and cooked), beans, and a little raw nuts/seeds. 100% raw is simply not ideal nutrition. See Dr. Fuhrman on this issue. Also there is a book by a Harvard anthropologist, Richard Wrangham, that explains that we have been eating cooked foods for at least 1.9 million years.. That's a long time.. That's why our bodies are designed to eat some cooked foods. However, we have also been eating raw food as well all along that time. So we need both.. A diet of 50% raw and 50% cooked will work. A diet of 75% percent raw and 25% cooked might work as well. Perhaps even a diet of 75% cooked might work. I would prefer to keep at around 50/50 myself.
