I see sugar as getting a bad rap for just about everything, from diabetes to cavities to candida and hyperacticity in children and for unwanted weight gain and I see sugar as taking the place of scape-goat so I thought I'd try to give some words in praise of this wonder-fuel (in it's whole and unrefined form of course).
Sugar is the fuel for all cells, not the least of which are brain and nerve cells. The brain runs on pure sugar. Sugar burns clean just as oils and fats and proteins burn dirty. Would you fuel your car with that which burns so dirty? Sugar is closely associated in nature with vitamin C the wonder nutrient that cleans up free radicals, which have been associated with just about every kind of disease, and aging.
Sugar tastes good and there is a reason for that, which is that we are meant to eat it. Does any one of us not have a sweet tooth? Sugar is great, and it grows on trees and vines in good rich soil! From the soil and the sun and water and air into sugar for me and you. I don't buy into the thoughtform that what is 'good for one' is difficult to endure. sugar is easy to endure! I eat meals of sugar, and some green herbs.
Sugar is simply delicious. Sugar is there for us, when it comes in various forms throughout the various seasons. Sugar is responsible for health and high energy and sugar is responsible for optimal mentation. Sugar does not require any form of cooking or food processing to be ready for glorious consumption. sugar is ripe and ready to eat in it's season, complete with it's own compostible and colorful packaging. It's hard to be sold that man can improve on nature. Candy is a cheap rip-off of nature and obviously THAT form of sugar is deliterious to one's health. But that is not true sugar anymore than drugs are true human horomones and neuro-transmitters and enzyme inhibitors.
Sugar sustains me and there are many unenlightened souls out there who think this is crazy and unhealthy and un-natural. nothing could be more natural actually. Sugar does not ferment when eaten property, and as part of an overal healthy regime of living, one will thrive on such a diet of fruit and herb.
Salt is great too. I'm talking about the mineral salts of course such as sodium and potassium and calcium and magnesium. So sugar and salt I consume a lot, in health.
I place sugar on the altar of the temple of my body, as the natural food and fuel for life. Sugar is great. Avoid sugar at your peril. Consume sugar in joy and in health and in peace
