Hi Cindi: I share your frustration with Candida. I've been overt free for 6 weeks and I still have symptoms. A thought occurred to me that it isn't just a fat issue. Over the past 5 years I've taken a lot of Advil for head pain, started by a hit on the head from a 60lb picture frame, that I've discovered is due to emotional and physical stress. (2400 mg/day for several months at a time as I couldn't sleep or barely move.) I've read how advil-type drugs can create an environment for Candida as well. As my body heals I'm wondering if the Advil that most likely remained in my body from the past years is a part of the puzzle. Several of the symptoms in my mouth have healed but not all completely. I believe our bodies are more complex and have their own way of healing. Just like fasting assists so does limiting fat to 10% and at times limiting fatty overt foods completely. I feel at times we need less to allow our body to have a better shot at healing. I also continue to increase my fitness link to assist my body to regain health as well as slow down towards the end of the day to assist in sleeping well. I've let go of the frustration of Candida and am accepting the wisdom of my body's rhythm to heal. I don't feel a lack either by not eating overts. I'm feeling better actually and know in the future that I will be more able to eat overts and will enjoy them moderately in my daily 'food blessing my body' meals. Be patient and accept the Candida without judgment or resistance. This alone will relax your mind and provide and environment for healing. Best wishes, |
