Cocoa contains high levels of flavanoids such as epicatechin wich is associated with the acute elevation of circulating nitric oxcide, enhanced vasodialation and augmented microcirculation when cocoa is consumed. Some health benefits of cocoa consumtion extend to the brain, wich help with our learning and memory. extended consumption of raw cocoa can be blammed for prevention of heart disease. Future use in cancer prevention aided by theobromine(the main alkaloid in cocoa) has been patented. |
