I was following this way of eating for many many years, lots of greens and about 30-50% fat.

According to Gabriel Cousens, Dr. Fuhrman, etc. (I still think that Fuhrman is valid because he helps some very very sick people, but I am not sure today that his way is quicker than the 811RV, however lots of people simply cannot handle the "idea" of eating so much fruits as we do so when one looks at from where most people come, the “SAD” way of eating, any of these Natural Hygiene way of eating will do for a while, for some years maybe, because simply getting away from the animal products, the industrial foods, the salt, etc. etc. is a big first step.

So as I said, I ate 30-50 % fats for a long time with lots and lots of greens with my salads. And yes, I can say that my health improved with every method I tried.

First I got better with Ann Wigmore, then with Robert O. Young who excludes almost all fruits, I ate no fruits at all for six months uuhhgggg, then I continued with Gabriel Cousens who also ingested lots of nuts, avocadoes and olives, etc. etc.

BUT it was only when I finally looked into what I read on Dr. Douglas Graham and David Klein's websites and books that my health really improved in such a way that is difficult to describe.

First of all, Dr. Graham has said more than a few times that he probably eats more greens than most natural hygiene people anywhere and the 811RV should probably “also” be called something like the : Fruit & Green diet.... but the relation between fats, protein and carbo is really very very important.

One of my ideas why some Natural Hygiene people are into 30% fat is that they are often people who are ex athletes. I do not say that they would not have done better eating less fat and more fruits but since they are athletes, they probably got away with all the eating of fats. What will happen to their organs when they get 60 and 70 is another story.

So Dr. Fuhrman and David Cousens burn the fat and maybe their digestion is very efficient.

Stu Mittleman who is linked to Robert O. Young teachings is also eating almost no fruits at all, with tons of greens, veggie soups, salads and juices, but he start his day with a 2 hours run, TWO HOURS! Whaooo, probably a good way of starting the body and burning all the fat if you are into running ?

No animals eat “lots of overt fat”, at least not that I am aware. Except for some animals who fast all winter and then sleeps and eat nothing but their own fats but that is another story.

Maybe the best thing and maybe “the only way” to find out is to do what I did. I tried almost every system for many many years. Between the age of 25 and 35 I was into Fit For Life, Shelton, fasting and colonics, big time, over 10x 7 days waterfasts, one 23 day water fast staying in bed all the time, one active 60 day grapefruit juice diet, 2x 30 day orange juice diet working all day in a bakery and running 10 miles in the afternoon, etc. etc. but all this time my eating was like this : nothing in the morning because of no hunger, tons of fruits all afternoon and tons of cooked in the evening with avocadoes, nuts, salt and so on. I cannot tell you how stressed my digestive system was getting from this binging, I think that this is how I run my system down eventually. Sure, I quit eating animal foods but turned to eating to much natural fats like avocadoes and nuts with cereals, salts and all the rest of the so cold “health foods” !

After ten years in California I moved back to Europe, to France, married a french woman and tried eating fruit all day like in California and then trying to eat like my new family for supper except that I would rarely eat meat and fish but after another ten years of this, so called healthy way of eating by most naturopaths, I was really run down.

Now I was prediabetic, I had bloody faeces, diarrhoea all the time, could not sleep at night, went to sleep after every meal I ate no matter how raw it was, could not read without glasses, etc. etc. etc. My sexual drive was gone at 47 !

Then I stopped working for 3 years, my wife got a well paid job abroad, and I tried Ann Wigmore, Gabriel Cousens, Robert O. Young, Dr.Fred Bisci , Dr. Fuhrman before I finally tried Dr. Gramah and David Klein. Everyone of the above person’s method made me feel better and I stayed with most of them from between 6 months and 1 year but I always quit looking further because I did not see real health and my belly kept hurting me, I did not sleep well, I still needed glasses to read, but overall, yes I was improving all the time. With every new person, I screamed “Yes, this is it” but after a few months I could not say the same.

I quit eating salt and cereals with Dr. Fuhrman 2 years ago, my last stop before 811 and I had so much stomach ache I could not believe it. Did I have this ache because I quit eating salt and cereals or because my intestines were healing and when healing takes place, inflammations may occur and the raw salads might have been hurting my sensitive intestine, I frankly do not know but today I am free of all pains.

One year ago when I finally made my way to Dr. Graham and David Klein, after one year with Dr. Fuhrman, I began eating fruits. Lots of it. And of course, in the beginning it was not easy but I felt right inside of me that something was different. Very Different.

But for six months I still kept eating fats, and my physical performance did not improve much.

I have been on and off the 811RV low fat for over a year now. Sometimes I have added cooked greens in the evening but it is not cooked greens that heals, it simply slowed the healing down, but as Dr. Graham says, it is all about direction, not speed.

All I can hope for you is that you read the books written by David Klein and Dr. Graham, especially the 811RV. And then, perhaps you can try eating this way for one full year to start, you will not get cancer in one year I believe, and after this try out the others, it is much faster to do it this way because you will discover very fast after eating 811RV that more fats will make you lazy and less fruits will make you definitely make you loose it all.......

Rather than starting out with the fat and green way, start out with 811RV ! and then compare if you would like, but I will bet that you will be convinced after only a few months.

Today I am free of any symptoms which is not the same as being in total health, but my symptoms are gone now. I sleep like a baby, my physical strength is amazing when I compare with only one year ago : 2 weeks ago I walked the mountains with 55 pounds on my back for two days, 12 hours per day, eating only melons and bananas (I never got to the dates I brought with me). I felt absolutely great and had not pains anywhere, nor during or after the walk. When I finished the walk I felt my strongest ! I do not know where my limits are today but I am 49 years old and feel pretty good, hihihi......
