Your assumption that professional dress is designed to intimidate is an offensive stance that assumes much that is untrue. I personally know a number of both doctors and dentists who care tremendously about their patients, and sacrifice much in their personal lives for the sake of the people the treat. And, even if I don’t agree with their methodology, I have to respect their caring attitudes. Their professional mode of attire reflects their professional attitude, NOT any desire to intimidate. You cannot assume and generalize intimidation to the entire medical profession, it’s not reasonable, nor is it truthful. Actually, you make the same gross generalizations that you accuse Groundhog of making, that the dress, in fact, DOES define and express the motives of the heart. And frankly, I put far more stock in professional behavior and dress than I do flamboyant showmanship.
