Well said Michelle! It is human nature (as well many other species) to think about ourselves first then others. I.e. Every man for himself. So naturally for most people, it is their own paycheck over ethics/moral. Also control/profits/bottom line over ethics/moral. It is amazing that for the first 41 years of my life, I thought I was eating well, eating right... only to be discovered in last recent 6 months that I was a complete idiot/fool the whole time. Well here is old adage "Better late than never" so I have no one to blame but myself and it is no point of saying "I should have..., I would have... I could have... I wish...". The best we can do is use past as education/learning tool and apply now and into future for better life for rest of our lives. We have so much to live for front of us. I kept thinking (I told my daughters that my job is to think, i.e the thinker) that if everyone in our nation change our lifestyle to what we are doing here now, yes everyone would be lot better off health-wise but economic change from that lifestyle/health change would be way too much to the point that paychecks will disappear for most people so do the bottom line. We would be closing lot of hospitals, doctor offices, drug industry collapse, beef industry collapse, diary industry collapse, and that set the chain reaction. True that we would be creative to find ways to take the changes for the better, but it is going to take a real while and there would be chaos in between. Then our govt would be against any major changes as their #1 job is to maintain the social order. We basically own our govt, so therefore our govt should be doing the job to the best interest of the citizens. But then when our citizens are "idiots" (I admit I was born idiot and been trying to be less idiot everyday since the day I was born :), then govt takes advantage over us as govt have much longer lifespan than individual humans and ends up working with powerful companies/business/people in the name of bottom line and control over ethics/moral. It gets even harder when they "control" the mainstream media to the point where "freedom of speech" becomes a joke in mainstream media. Our media conditioned the people that SAD and it's lifestyle (prescription drugs, cancer, dieases etc...) are "normal" way of living. Yeah the world is far from perfect and that is the reality of the world we live in. However it is great to see great people here making discoveries (well those are really old things, not new things, but we all born in present time and only to be "re-discovered" on our own) and sharing with each other for better quality of life. Ironically Internet is founded and promoted by our govt in hopes of having better/more control over it's own citizens (which seems to work in some capacity) but on the other hand, Internet is great and wonderful tool for grassroots level where we can share our knowledge and experiences to allow us to make best healthy lifestyle choices and making the world a better place to live. Actions speak much louder than words, so showing the results of our well being is action that speaks the loudest. I tell people to look at my result and that does all of the talking for me. :) I was giving raw food demo one day (I have been doing three raw food demo so far and everyone are so interested so that is good sign) and a long time friend of mine said that he and his wife wants to increase the percentage of fruits/veggies in their diet (which is SAD) but he said he must eat his favorite hamburger because he says it is soooo good, very tasty! It occured to me that moment that he is addicted like I was before but I did not say the word "addicted" yet. Give them time and I think they will realize sooner than later like I did recently. Anyway I am so glad to be here and I will do my part in educating/promoting the healthy lifestyle as much as I can using my results as proof/action. I am looking forward meeting many of you during H&F week! Now off to doing Lunges, Hindu Squats, Hindu Pushups, Back Bridge, Trampoline and swimming! Then have a nice dinner salad then work on my garden (it is first time I do garden myself :)
