I work in the legal field and the way it was explained to me is that the drug companies know that their drugs are going to have negative affects but they also know that when they put it out on the market they are going to make millions of dollars before those affects are discoverd and before the lawsuits start coming in. All in all, they still make millions of dollars and that is the bottom line. Greed.
