But why must something be in its "natural state" in order to be consumed? This is, of course, a rule that you as a group have imposed based on beliefs that may not be valid. We use cars and computers and wear clothing manufactured with material that has been processed. Isn't this sort of hypocritical? But I wouldn't even consider something boiled in water (like oats) as in an "unnatural state". By the way, the FAQ link doesn't work, it gives me an error message.
