I've been lurking in various vegsource groups for awhile and have some questions maybe someone can answer. Why is it that this raw group regards cooked low-fat carbohydrates, like rice or oats, as bad or even worse as traditional vegans consider steak, fried chicken, or cheese omelettes? I find this really odd. I've never had anyone be able to give me a valid reason why something like oatmeal, rice, or cooked potatoes are bad for you. It's funny how different you raw folks are than cooked food vegans. For example, other groups on vegsource claim offensive body odor is caused by animal foods like meat and dairy, while you folks claim it is caused by cooked carbohydrates. I tend to think you folks are mistaken into believing that something as innocent as a bowl of low-fat oatmeal causes one to stink. On the other hand, it is much easier to believe offensive body odor is caused by highly acidic animal foods like steak, chicken, eggs, and cheese. I just don't get it. It seems almost as if you raw folks are so extreme and different than most vegans that you don't even belong in vegsource. Please, someone give me some valid reasons and scientific evidence that cooked low-fat carbs are as bad for you as you folks make them out to be. I don't mean to offend anyone with my straightforwardness.
