I agree that you automatically must underconsume on almost every nutrient when you underconsume on total calories. That only makes sense.

I disagree on the suggestion of eating 5-10% of total calories from greens. I just don't see how it is possible. For instance, I eat about 3500 calories per day, on average, though I am building that up, slightly, during this year, to become closer to 4000. 10% of that would be almost 400 calories per day from greens. Now I am a very good greens eater. My nightly salad intake is prodigious. Still, 400 calories from lettuce or celery is more than I want to try for.
I can easily eat 5% of my calories from greens on any given day, but like PJ I am prone to having a few spells per year where I don't eat any greens at all. I think that 3-5% of calories from greens is a more realistic suggestion.
